unisex trainers. that is all.

Aldo has come out with the Aldo Mx trainers in a range of pretty must-have shades of the season! [white, black, soft pink, light grey, beige, light tealy green, and red]

Literally a trainer which looks slick AF without the extras, just a chic clean-cut shoe with which the styling options are endless! They’re categorized by women/mens in terms of sizes, but the shoe style itself stays exactly the same which is super neat! (cue couple ootds #twinning)

I was sent the white pair by the lovelies at Aldo, and tbh my eyes had to adjust to how impeccably white they looked in the box haha (my converse are due for a wash) mamas main concern was how I was going to wear them without getting them dirty lawl.

Styled them with this gorg two-piece from Zara which had me feeling pretty shofishticated when I tried it on (I know its spelt incorrectly..!); don’t quite own a ‘suit’ per say in me wardrobe, which I convinced myself every teacher should have (right?!) et voila!

Also super in love with me belt bag and felt it added to the street-chic look/vibe thingamajig I was going for and just pulled everything together really! Def upped the look of the trainers even more so when paired with the two-piece which is more commonly paired with heels or loafers etc.

Find the collection online and in-store now, and share how you remix #AldoMx your trainers! xo.

(Am I allowed to be slightly flattered?!)

The core concept behind the brand is also based upon these characteristics, with “粋” (Iki) – representing delicacy, individuality and chicness and”薫” (Kaoru) representing the atmosphere of illusion, nuance, romanticism, and reality.

I was sent this beautiful kimono sleeve jacket alongside another piece (you’ll see it soon promise!) and I kid you not, even my 98 year-old grandmother insisted on having a feel because yes, it looked that gorgeous. The magic lies in the material which features an uneven grosgrain fabric which is thin, glossy, and rich in texture. Using grosgrain allows the appearance of a more causal and relaxing look; so although the sleeves appear to be a kimono sleeve, it’s been designed in such a way that they gradually widen in shape towards the cuff.

It also features a beautiful back slit kept together with a black ribbon and…pockets! yay! Pockets are always a win with me and instantly up the functionality and practicality of pieces!

The quality of this jacket is unbelievable and it adds an immediate minimalistic and chic put-togetherness to ones outfit! I can totally see this on top of a pair of denim and a black t-shirt, or even coloured trousers for an added pop of color if you like!

If you’ve fallen as in love with their pieces as I have, head over to Haute Elan where you’ve got access to loads of amazing brands such as this one and help yourself to 20% off by clicking here using the code ‘ saira20 ‘ ! (your wardrobe will thank me later!) x

I had other plans for this Zara dress, something along the lines of massive turban, rolled up sleeves and trainers, maybe some denim?! but then the lovely Manal (@chinutay) sent me a few scarves from her collection (@chinutayco) (which are oh so beautiful by the way!) and I got super excited to put something together as an excuse to wear one *insert shy monkeyface emoji*

This is actually the first time I’ve ever been gifted or sent scarves by a brand/company, and maybe rightfully so because I’m quite particular with what goes on my head in terms of material, length etc. haha but eep, these are perfect! They’ve got the right amount of stretch and more than enough material to work with! Manal’s packaging is also super cute and personalized with a handwritten message and sprayed with her signature scent which smells divine mashallah x Haven’t experimented using them as turbans yet but uber excited to do so! I’ve got ‘Jaipur’ on me head which had me reminiscing about a recent trip to India which led to me going through photos, prompting a sit down of a potential Mumbai post coming at you real soon inshallah! xoxo

P.S – THE DRESS HAS POCKETS GUYS!
